GERARD BARRY Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Gerard has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics and has held various top management positions with UK and US multinationals. In 1984, Gerard pioneered the Cashback tourist tax refund concept, and the service was launched in Ireland in 1985. From 1990, with approval of governments in each jurisdiction, Gerard expanded the business throughout Europe. In
2000 Gerard founded the new Group Headquarters in Galway, Ireland, where he oversaw the re-branding of the company to Fintrax Group Holdings Ltd. Gerard’s entrepreneurship saw him become a finalist in the category of International Entrepreneurship for Awards in Ireland, and he has led the
Fintrax Group to become one of the world’s leading international financial services.
CONOR FLANAGAN Group Director - Finance
Conor holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Diploma in Business Studies from The National University of Ireland in Galway. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He holds an honours law degree from The National University of Ireland, in Galway

Conor is responsible for the Group’s Irish workforce of more than sixty employees working across various Business Units. He has fifteen years of experience in Accountancy and Finance.

His experience includes eight years in accountancy practices and seven years as a Finance Director.

CHRIS PARKIN Group Director - Operations
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business Administration and Accountancy. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Chris worked for Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) and a leading cheque guarantee firm before joining the Fintrax Group in 1994.

He founded and managed the UK subsidiary and has a wealth of experience in providing financial services to the retail industry. Chris is based in London and is responsible for subsidiaries in the UK, Germany and Ireland.

PATRICK FAHERTY Group Director - International Business Development (Europe)
Patrick holds a Masters of Business Administration in International Marketing and a Bachelor of Commerce. He has been a forerunner in the development of the Fintrax Group since 1986 when he was a sales representative for Ireland. After completing market research in several European countries he became Marketing Manager for Premier Tax Free (France) in 1990, and he was promoted to General Manager in 1991. Patrick is responsible for the growth of Fintrax Group in Europe; mainly in Switzerland, Italy, Austria and the Benelux countries. Patrick is also responsible for the Franchisee Agreements and partnerships in Central and Eastern Europe.

DECLAN BARRY Group Director - International Business Development (Asia Pacific)
Declan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Science and Modern Language (Honours), Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Diploma of Business in Accounting and Taxation (Honours). He joined the Group in 1995 and was previously based in Europe and Canada. He is now based in Australia and is the company director of Fintrax International, Fintrax Payment Services,
Fintrax Payment Systems, Premier Tax Free and Premier Tourist Shopping Experience in the Asia Pacific Region. His responsibilities include market research and business development to establish overseas subsidiaries and develop emerging business opportunities for Fintrax Group Holdings.

MAUREEN CONNEELY Group Director, Human Resource Management
Maureen has a Diploma in Office Management and a Certificate in Computing/IT. She joined the company in 1990 and has set up the Group’s processing operations for France, Italy, Spain and the UK. Maureen has over a decade of experience in data processing and operations and is based in Galway, Ireland. She implements and coordinates the data payment services
between centralised operations in Ireland and local operational centres in Europe.

JUAN A. POVEA Group Director - International Business Development (North America)
Juan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Masters in International Business Administration (Honours). He joined Fintrax Group in 1997 as Assistant Manager, then became General Manager in 1998. He was responsible for the set-up and development of the company in Spain and Portugal, then became Assistant Manager for international market development in 2000. In 2001 Juan became involved in establishing the company in Toronto, Canada, where he is now based.

JOHN DUFFY Group Director - Research & Development
John has a Bachelor of Commerce, a Diploma in Systems Analysis and 20 years experience working in software developments and financial services; including European-wide experience as General Manager of a data processing company. After joining Fintrax, John developed the Fintrax Payment Centre and innovated multiple currency processing. He is the Group Director for the research and development of information technology and has been based
in Ireland since 1997.
